The Atlantic Way Food Pillar is delighted to initiate this major regional food promotion to give a platform and increased public profile to our best food producers. Increasing sustainable food production and the rewards for artisan food producers; widening the reach & scope of our food tourism; optimising direct route to markets for producers and entrepreneurs – these are our objectives,” commented Paddy Duffy of the Atlantic Way Advisory Board.
‘Féasta Bia’ aims to generate a sense and understanding of regional food identity, by offering a menu of consumer experiences with local producers, including fish mongers, cheese & dairy producers, fruit & vegetable growers; the butcher, the baker, the patisserie-maker; sea-food producers and catering companies; local hotels & restaurants.
